What is Ask Aurel?
Ask Aurel is a web platform that brings together 6 generative AIs — Claude (Anthropic), GPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Mistral AI, Grok (xAI), and DeepSeek — under a single pay-as-you-go interface. No subscription: top up a minimum of €10, then each request is billed at the real API cost of the model used.
How much does Ask Aurel cost?
No subscription. Minimum top-up is €10, and credit never expires. Each request typically costs between €0.001 and €0.05 depending on the model and the answer length. You get 3 free questions to try it out before topping up.
Which AIs are available on Ask Aurel?
Six models: Claude Sonnet and Claude Haiku (Anthropic), GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Mistral Large (Mistral AI), Grok (xAI), and DeepSeek. You can pick the model manually, let "Smart" mode route to the best fit, or compare several side by side with "Compare" mode.
Why use Ask Aurel rather than a ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription?
A subscription costs $20/month and locks you into a single ecosystem. With Ask Aurel, the same €20 budget gives you access to six AIs for several months at moderate usage (a few requests per day). Especially suited to occasional users, freelancers, and students who don't saturate a monthly plan.
How does "Smart" mode work?
Aurel analyzes your question and routes it to the most suitable model: Claude Sonnet for reasoning and code, Haiku for short factual queries, Gemini for current research, etc. You pay the price of the model actually used, shown at the end of each answer for transparency.
Is my data used to train AIs?
No. Requests are sent to the official APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, xAI, DeepSeek), which under enterprise API terms do not reuse data for training. Ask Aurel stores only your conversation history on its own European servers, accessible only to you. You can wipe it at any time.
Does the credit expire?
No. The balance you top up is valid indefinitely. Use it at your own pace, with no monthly commitment.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, and Google Pay — via Stripe. One-time payment, no recurring charge.
Is Ask Aurel a French company?
Yes. Ask Aurel is operated from Paris, hosted in Europe, and GDPR-compliant. Payments are processed through Stripe (Ireland, EU).
Is there a mobile app?
Ask Aurel is a PWA (Progressive Web App): you can install it on iOS and Android directly from your browser (Safari > Share > Add to Home Screen, or Chrome > Install App). No App Store required.
What happens if my balance hits zero?
The service pauses until your next top-up. You can never overspend your balance — no billing surprises. A banner warns you when the balance gets low (under €2).
Can I access my conversation history?
Yes, as soon as you top up. All your conversations are saved to your account and accessible from any signed-in device. Free-trial users (3 questions) do not have access to history.
